Background About Kite
Kite
is an established New Zealand book find company, founded in 1968 by Dom
King. Kite specializes in the supply of rare and out-of-print New
Zealand literature to clients around the world.
Book
lovers can have virtually any New Zealand publication located and
purchased for them through Kite’s book finding service. If a book that
is required is not currently stocked in the Kite collection, customers
make a search request and a copy of the book will be traced and the
purchase of the book will be negotiated on behalf of the customer, if
required. Kite has the contacts to provide its customers with
publications that rarely become available on the open market.
Kite charges a fee for finding a book and privately negotiates the purchase price of every item with interested parties.
Kite’s
Managing Director, Don King, is a recognized authority on New Zealand
publications, having gained a Master of Library and Information Studies
at the Victoria University, before working at the National Library of
New Zealand. Don, an avid literary lover, set up Kite with the vision
of enabling appreciators of New Zealand literature the ability to
locate and obtain any rare and out-of-print New Zealand publications
that they require.
